Awakening Women Institute
is a global community of women wanting to contribute to a more awake and magnificent world, for all. Our practice is about embodied awakening, it is about bringing the fiercely compassionate wisdom of the feminine back into our lives, thus restoring balance.
All the work of AWI rises out of a passionate intention to bring true peace and happiness to all sentient beings, and our programs are our contribution to that.
Our programs include training, retreats, and a network of on going women’s groups. Practical tools to use in your daily life, and the unique support from a global community of dedicated women.
We donate money each month to Pacha Mama Alliance, to Kiva, Women for Women International and to the Hunger Project, so when you buy any of our products/services you also support these causes.

Chameli Ardagh
Founder of Awakening Women Institute
CHAMELI ARDAGH is a leading pioneer in contemporary feminine spirituality, and she has inspired thousands of women around the world through her breakthrough methods for living and embodying feminine brilliance. She is especially appreciated for her love of mythology and storytelling as a method for illuminating our hidden strength and beauty.
Chameli has taken every opportunity to become adept in her field through her own practice as well as through extensive training in group dynamics, meditation and spiritual counseling.
She is initiator of a global network of groups for women, and the author of three books on feminine empowerment and spirituality,
which have been published in three languages.
Chameli was featured in the book Ordinary Women, Extra-ordinary Wisdom: The Feminine face of Awakening (www. extraordinarywisdom.net) by Rita Marie Robinson, M.A, a collection of conversations with women spiritual teachers. She was also featured in The Translucent Revolution by Arjuna Ardagh, as an authority on feminine spiritual practice, and in Hope Beneath Our Feet by Martin Koegh.
Chameli was born in Norway and now lives in Northern California with her husband Arjuna and two bonus sons.

Bibbie is also a Temple-mama and a graduate of the Women´s Group Facilitator Training.
She is the photographer in our Corfu Retreat and is the artist behind many of the images on this site.
