Unmasked, humbled
and awake to the
unfathomable wholeness
she is made of,
she turns and faces
our terrifying and achingly beautiful world.

The rhythms of death and re-birth are as ancient as cosmos itself.
When we lose connection with this wider context full of memory and meaning,
times of change, dismantling and dissolution can feel like the endpoint,
instead of a phase in a process that can initiate us and weave
us back into the wisdom of the deep.

For 3 days, we will enter into a living, breathing ritual, where mythology, prayer
and spiritual practices are explored as embodied portals of awakening. We will practice with the ancient poem Inanna’s Descent to the Underworld – a luminous map for navigating change, loss and transformation

The Sumerian Goddess Inanna moves through seven gates on her way down to the underworld where her sister Ereshkigal rules; at each gate she is asked to sacrifice something that has identified who she has taken herself to be. Through the courage to voluntarily disintegrate, she merges with the Ground of Being beneath the artificially constructed roles that have defined her, and as she realizes her true nature she is initiated into primordial wisdom and power.

“My journey with Chameli in the retreat was profoundly transformative. Her presence, wisdom, and compassion touched my soul in a way I will never forget. I returned home a different woman—grateful, open, and deeply moved.

This retreat was one of the most powerful experiences of my life. Her grace, humor, and depth created a truly transformative space. I am deeply grateful for the healing and awakening that took place.”

Mina Devi Kumari

“This retreat was a turning point in my life. Chameli holds a field of compassion and clarity that invites you to drop your defenses and meet yourself with honesty and love. The weekend was filled with powerful practices, heartfelt connection, and moments of pure grace. I left Boulder feeling lighter, more grounded, and more aligned with my true self. I cannot recommend this experience enough.”

 Sophia Jensen

“I came with no expectations, only a quiet knowing that I needed to be there. What unfolded was beyond anything I could have imagined. The retreat held a perfect balance of gentleness and depth, allowing me to open in ways I’ve longed for. The sisterhood that formed, the safety of the space, and the transformative practices created a shift I will carry with me forever. I left feeling more alive, more connected, and more myself.”

Is This Right for Me?

Although it is not mandatory, it is best if you have some experience of feminine/embodied spiritual practice. (You can do a self-study course here.)

This is not a theoretical seminar; the Goddess path is a spiritual path that includes the body, emotions, sounds, and movement. Many of the practices are interactive.

When consciousness awakens through the body, you open for more shakti, life force energy, to flow through you. You will at all times be supported by the group leader and staff, but since this is a group, not a one-on-one process, all participants must be able to take responsibility for themselves.

We offer a space for spiritual practice, not psychotherapy. If you are feeling unstable psychologically or are going through a severe crisis that needs individual support, this event will not be beneficial for you.

One of our core practices involves Temple Touch. Your boundaries will of course always be respected, but if you feel a strong resistance to touch, this is probably not for you. We practice respectful touch a lot in our circle to bring presence into our bodies and cultivate the capacity to allow more life energy to flow through us.

“I am so very grateful to Chameli and the Awakening Women team. My heart overflows with love for all the sisters. I feel like I’ve found home ‘within’. I embrace my humanity and allow spirit to be within me, not something I escape to. I now know I can be the deeply feeling woman I am and own every part of me; this is a gift beyond words.”

Bella Donna
Counselor & Healer

“I am so humbled and grateful. There have been both subtle changes and massive changes in my life. I have now been able to adapt a daily practice and remind myself of so many gifts that She bestows upon me and my life on a daily basis. I am eternally grateful.”

Sapna
Ancient Healing

“No one has invited me to step more deeply into the living mystery than Chameli. Every cell in my body felt the imprint the first time—and the last—I heard her voice: ‘Welcome to this moment,’ she said. No part of me was excluded from the invitation to know myself as an embodied miracle.”
